Since I'm starting out on my archaeological college-adventure soon, I gleaned quite a lot of valuable info reading about you and your travels in academia. My direction may be B.A. in Archaeology and Public Policy. Then possibly move onto Cultural Resource Management and work for the U.S. Forest Service. Or not. I've been spending eight hours a day researching what I can do with this degree, in this economy, and it's not an easy decision to conclude. Good job with this blog and read you later.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7004990262684153205.post-176441014359033092006-12-20T11:27:00.000-08:002006-12-20T11:27:00.000-08:00I was wondering about this just last night. And the...I was wondering about this just last night.

And then it made me extremely sad to know that in South Africa it was just debated about whether or not the culling of elephants would be allowed.

Sometimes I just can't understand the logic of governments.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7004990262684153205.post-1140232627715066492006-12-20T11:28:00.002-08:002006-12-20T11:28:00.002-08:00I was wondering about this just last night. And the...I was wondering about this just last night.

And then it made me extremely sad to know that in South Africa it was just debated about whether or not the culling of elephants would be allowed.

Sometimes I just can't understand the logic of governments.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7004990262684153205.post-23882302338893598012006-12-20T11:28:00.001-08:002006-12-20T11:28:00.001-08:00I was wondering about this just last night. And the...I was wondering about this just last night.

And then it made me extremely sad to know that in South Africa it was just debated about whether or not the culling of elephants would be allowed.

Sometimes I just can't understand the logic of governments.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7004990262684153205.post-74539849491034519792006-12-07T18:34:00.000-08:002006-12-07T18:34:00.000-08:00NSF should also fund an archaeologist to go up to ...NSF should also fund an archaeologist to go up to the Moon! There are a lot of human artifacts from the 60's and 70's are left up there and it would be nice to go back and document what they did, how they did it, and see what inferences can be made and how those inferences match up to the historical record.CFeaganshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00369197748011952179noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7004990262684153205.post-89401606178537264482008-12-28T17:08:00.000-08:002008-12-28T17:08:00.000-08:00Great idea!Love the breakdown!Great idea!
Love the breakdown!Meli MAL-SALhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14794219302256155801noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7004990262684153205.post-81141842323212548852007-01-19T13:53:00.000-08:002007-01-19T13:53:00.000-08:00seriously...it is really bad, not only does gibson...seriously...it is really bad, not only does gibson seem to give the film major christian values (or the lack thereof) his videography is as well terribleMatt Zahnwehhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03074177437422079428noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7004990262684153205.post-24310880441778139922007-05-06T22:22:00.000-07:002007-05-06T22:22:00.000-07:00Well, that is reassuring...I want an M.A. in anthr...Well, that is reassuring...I want an M.A. in anthropology, but the university I'm currently at doesn't offer ANY anthro/archaeo classes. I'm double majoring in journalism and foreign languages (french & spanish), and I may even take some anthro classes at a community college about 30 mins away, just to get some experience (and b/c I know I'll enjoy the classes!) I worry sometimes about not having more anthropology classes, and the grad school laughing at me...but maybe not! Well, good luck with all your school stuff! The taste of the water in these sachets is good, if a little chlorine. I never know what to do when I finish a sachet — and when I ask people, they shrug their shoulders and say, 'why, you drop it right here on the street of course'...

I have been thinking a lot about this problem. One of the underlying reasons, I think, is that plastic packagings have 'taken Ghana by surprise' so to say. As a packacking material, plastic it did not evolve locally and consequently no local procedures for waste management exist. Add to this the fact that indigenous packagings and containers (bags, woven baskets, and calabashes) are all made from organic material and hence biodegradable, and it is easy to see how revolutionary wrappings can cause an unprecedented heap of litter in a very short stretch of time.mark (The Ideophone)http://markdingemanse.nl/the-ideophone/noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7004990262684153205.post-19958473101439965172008-11-15T18:22:00.000-08:002008-11-15T18:22:00.000-08:00natural tribalism is one thing. football is a mark...natural tribalism is one thing. football is a market-driven synthetic tribalism, and the worst possible kind - the binary kind. two teams, two sides, from two places, two groups of fans, etc... none of whom (save the family and friends of the player) have any real reason to belong to either tribe. football terrifies me, and reminds me of HL Mencken: "I hate sports as rabidly as a person who likes sports hates common sense." hear hear.Spencerhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12259919608343680017noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7004990262684153205.post-69030952378338352042009-05-05T08:31:00.000-07:002009-05-05T08:31:00.000-07:00I know a bunch of grad students studying WoW, too ...I know a bunch of grad students studying WoW, too ...Sam Gracehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04167048403601478320noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7004990262684153205.post-36862755980871889252010-05-14T22:01:40.566-07:002010-05-14T22:01:40.566-07:00this kind of blog always useful for blog readers, ...this kind of blog always useful for blog readers, it helps people during research. your post is one of the same for blog readers.thesis writinghttp://www.eduthesis.com/noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7004990262684153205.post-40011451276769093442009-02-17T14:20:00.000-08:002009-02-17T14:20:00.000-08:00hi i really like your blog, its like a brigt light...hi i really like your blog, its like a brigt light on my dark unclear way to be an anthropologist. thank you! and I have a question for you, so you are getting bachelor degree in Anthropology? I am in a similar situation to you and found your blog intriguing. I read through your blog and saw that someone recommended that you do a B.A.! Why did you do that instead of the M.A. or M.S.? I already had a Masters in another subject, but still no one ever said "do another B.A." It actually seems quite crazy and a step backwards if you go onto a Phd program where you will need to do M.A. classes all over again. You could have done the M.A. part-time at night and still had less classes than the B.A., even including prerequisites. I have some additional questions, so please send me your private email.momosgaragehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10573379710190789773noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7004990262684153205.post-17674127064415778422009-04-28T20:16:00.000-07:002009-04-28T20:16:00.000-07:00Paul, so they notified you "that full-time em...Paul, so they notified you "that full-time employees would no longer be allowed to take college courses during regular business hours" ?
